In a real sense, like Mary and John
So for Ruth and myself
we were joined at the foot of the cross
by the same saving grace of Jesus
In our study together
God’s revealing of His Word
his plan for our lives together
one family, one body, one love
Maybe His words were a bit different,
“Ruth, here is your brother, your husband;
Ray, here is your sister, your wife;”
but the words were just as powerful
here in our walk, this life
A blessing in the way of joining
the physical and spiritual aspects of our lives
together one family
in the love of Christ,
grace poured out on the cross
