within the body of Christ

Jesus’ word to them
to Mary, to John
at the foot of the cross
echoing down to us

by our faith we are one body
one family under God
children of all of us
our loving parents one and all

all our brothers and sisters
all bound by one love
within the body of Christ
living here with us
