Not the Pit but Glory

We see the world dimly
we don’t trust God
thinking this is all there is
mired in the dust
Destined for greater things
not the Pit but Glory
the end of the journey
our hope always

Our focus backward
on the loss, rebellion
not on the love of God
present from creation
Man, woman, mortals
all that God created
blessed from the beginning
from when Time began

Filled with the Spirit
redeemed, adopted by God
brothers with Jesus
our Savior, our Lord
Placed in nature
the beautiful garden
graced by his goodness
healed by his love

Original blessing
the true state of man
our Lord, our Creator
shaping us with his hand
We are his children
filled with his Spirit
sent into to the earth
to share his message
