What is it to be human

Our scripture, this text
the schism, the paradox
born of the dust, the earth
cursed by the choice
rebellion in the Garden
yet blessed by grace
by the sacrifice of Christ
the Spirit descending
to indwell within our hearts

What it is to be human
to walk the earth as man
damned by one man
saved by one Man
filled with the Holy Spirit
God truly here with us
imparting holy knowledge
the kingdom path to walk
hope in that promise
life beyond this life
