hearing these words again
the question repeated
for us to face the truth
each of us hearing the
demons
the doubts named, each one,
clearly;
“what would you do if you
weren’t afraid?”
an answer different,
separate,
for each one in the hearing,
in the room,
but the question repeated
so it would be heard
clearly.
So much of life, in
waiting,
in hand wringing,
indecision,
putting stumbling blocks
in our own path, in our
own way.
“what would you do if you
weren’t afraid?”
how many decisions, paths,
lives,
would have gone the other
way?
