we resist the Master
our marble defiant,
denying the chisel
the work of the Sculptor;
we are clay rebelling
leaving the wheel
we refuse the Potter
His touch of love
the hand of teaching
trusting ourselves;
we deny the chisel
not willing to yield
we avoid the forge
the hammer, the anvil
refusing to bend
to conform to the teaching;
we go our own way
not submitting to God
