Christ, the Savior,
the descended Messiah,
the Lamb’s blood poured
the flesh of that bread
at the beginning of Lent
the juice in our mouths
readied for ashes
Sharing the feast
Love come down
in dust, to the earth,
to wear that crown
to offer His body
the flesh of that bread
in our mouths, holy
