holding the body of Christ

After His death, crucifixion,
the crowds gone, quiet
the women and the others
lowering His body
from the rugged cross

Holding of the body of Christ
the pieta, before His internment
His mother, the Madonna,
the mother with her child
as she was at the stable.

The plan come full circle
there with His mother
fulfilling His purpose;
The babe in the manger and
the man from the cross.
