choosing a life with limits

living fearfully
accepting less
settling in this life
holding on to bittersweet
far less than I wanted
as if I deserved it
my lot in life less
than what I dreamed of
to be fulfilled…
 
choosing a life with limits
avoiding pain, sheltered,
wanting so much more,
to follow my dreams
to risk but I didn’t,
holding on to bittersweet
my lot in life not sufficient
feeling lost unfulfilled
never happy in my spirit…
