Pride whispers

pride whispers in the darkness
condemning our souls to death
separating us from grace
from the mercy of God…
 
pride whispers you are better
than your sins but you are not enough
you are unworthy of salvation
of the sacrifice of Christ…
 
pride whispers damnation
but the Spirit cries, “You are Enough!
God loves you, Jesus saved you,
you are my beloved child”…
 
pride whispers the lies of Satan
words to separate, to drive a wedge,
but Christ paid our debt
we have eternal life…
