The Spirit rejoices – v2

As with the Prodigal’s father
running out to greet him
out on the road, joyful,
God is so happy,
when we come back home…
 
The Holy Spirit rejoices
when we confess our sin
recognizing our need for God
when we plead for forgiveness
for new life to begin…
 
God has already forgiven us
the stain has been removed
through the finished work of Christ;
unrepented sin is death, new pain,
as if Christ was still on the cross…
 
The Holy Spirit rejoices
ss with the Prodigal’s father,
when we come to God, returning,
humbly submitting our whole lives
transparent, humble, as a child…
