More than 50 years in the desert

Blind though I believed,
clinging to my flesh,
more than 50 years in the desert
when God offers me rest…
 
Lost as Paul was, blind to faith,
given new sight, new vision,
washed in the waters,
so I could walk with Christ…
 
Help me Lord to put on You,
my Savior, the Christ, Jesus,
help me to bury my sin
forever in the grave…
 
Lift me from the waters
from my sin, my shame,
I submit my control,
help me not to take it again…
