Hiding from the Truth
the shame of my sin before me
all of my life transparent
like the emperor with no clothes…
 
Fearing the wrath, the judgement,
mocking birds surrounding
the hate of the bullies
those who would tear me down…
 
Denying my sinful nature,
my shame, my folly,
separated from the love of God,
the grace of the risen Christ…
 
Needing to be honest, transparent,
to defeat my demons
Needing to be courageous
to be truly free…
