Messianic words, of this moment,
prophetic articles of faith
of pain, of trust in God,
even in our transgressions
the curse of our stain, our sin,
the blood our Savior carried
when He bore the Father’s wrath
when He felt separated from God…
How powerful His praise, His worship
His certainty of protection, defiant,
the power of His faith, His truth,
holy in His Spirit, exalted,
in His pouring out of worship
His life His own Ransom
piercing His hands and feet
our holy sacrifice…

Messianic Words – v2
Based on #Psalm22
Based on Psalm 22:1
Based on #Matthew27:46,
Jesus cries: "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
re:generation, Step 6, Repent, Large Group, June 30, 2025
“Everyone today focuses on Christ's words of Psalm 22:1, on the cross; but as the leader was reading the whole psalm to the large group Monday night, I was hearing the promises of God that were in the original full psalm, what Jesus knew and what the original hearers who heard his cry on the cross would have known. It was a moment of abandonment, a separation from God perhaps in verse 1, but the rest of the psalm 22 was a powerful witness that God had not abandoned Him or the people of Israel, or any of us who believe...”
