I don’t know what to believe

I don’t know what to believe
Truth has become elusive,
How I long to be at peace
within my soul, my spirit…
 
I have been stripped raw, naked,
They have taken too much from me
I don’t know what to believe
Truth has become elusive
behind a mask of lies…
 
I long to know fully, completely,
what Truth is, honest, transparent,
but I don’t know what to believe
and that gnaws at my soul…
