Etched on Our Hearts

Not on the emulsion of film
something to physically hold onto
memories of our faith
engraved, etched on our beating hearts

The presence of God
changing us from within
that we may be his hands, his feet
his voice, going out into the world

Not standing on the mountaintop
remaining in the moment
moved by the faith within
to go and do our work
