The joy of that Sunday
the dancing children
the swaying palms
our hands, bodies
moving with excitement
The flames igniting
eating up the palms
ashes dark, burning
reverting to dust
The depth of our awareness
the awful truth of our state
praying humbly
about what we did to our king
