Listen to Him

The voice of God
speaking from the cloud
claiming Christ
giving a command
as with Moses,
Listen to Him.

Anointed, his face glowing
a leader for the people
his transformation
witnessed by the leaders

Going from there
steeled for the work
following the call of God
Doing the work, as his disciples
leading to his suffering,
the cross, the grave

But with him to the end
the end of their days
faithful, the spirit within
a path started on that day
Christ shimmering, brilliant
his glory on the mountaintop
