Not yet feeling the full warming
The sun’s rays somewhat brighter
the bare ground a testimony
the promise of the coming
spring soon to be here
The ice, snow melting
even in the cold remaining
the brown, gray of winter
soon to be giving way
to the bright green coming
Different songs, birds,
on the morning air
the breezes different
in the coming of spring
soon to be upon us
spring soon to be here
