The man they had followed
all through Galilee
the one who shared their means
who preached and healed the sick
Standing with him on the mountaintop
his countenance suddenly changed
radiant in his glory
his true identity revealed
The voice of God speaking
out of the cloud, as in ages past
admonishing the disciples,
He is my son; listen to him.
Alive, in his majesty,
shimmering in light
transformed before their eyes
Christ brilliant, whiter than white
