Following the Spirit

Not following our selves
the sinful way of the earth
walking in the way of the light
following the Spirit instead

Guiding my steps
if I listen
in the ways of righteousness
leading me to heaven
in following the way of Christ

Heeding the Spirit’s calling
burning in my heart
ever being faithful
to God’s plan for my life

Falling on my knees
confessing when I stray
rising in the Spirit
hearing my master’s call
leading me in his way
