Breathing his last
giving up his spirit
submitting to God
dying on the cross
Christ alive
until his choosing
alone to die
paying for our sin
That dark moment
yet affirming
His love enough
to die in our place
Letting go
of this existence
Christ prepares the way
for you and me
By his choosing
the pit of death
we too may rise
with him yet
