Something too much
called to think of the scene
to sit on the donkey
the parade for the King
Too much to ponder
to sit as the Messiah
not as Christ
would I ever claim to be
Maybe a flea,
maybe the donkey
but not the Messiah
ever would I be
More likely the throng
one of the crowd
or a disciple
following my shepherd
into David’s town
