The
words we share important,
an
affirmation of God’s love
not
in the past tense, static
Not
rose, arose from the dead
rose
from the dark cold tomb
Is
risen, a living Savior,
this
is what we profess
a
present tense presence
Living
in us, now
Living
at the right hand
the
new body, restored
the
image of his human self
A
man risen from the dead,
A
Son returned to the Father
Our
risen brother, our shepherd
the
victor over death
We
proclaim not just His rising
He
is risen, then and now
