as we are told in scripture
do we see God, God’s love
in the mirror, in our image,
not merely clay, dust
God’s beauty, God’s mercy
God in the look
the sparkle in our eye
in our wrinkles, our bodies
a piece of God with us
in the mirror, in ourselves
