for a moment, despair
within the garden
a moment of sorrow
in the garden that night
“remove this cup,”
He prayed to the Father;
but Jesus was not finished
with His prayer that night
He remained the Servant
in the rest of the sentence,
“not my will but Thy will be done.”
Christ was faithful
there in the garden
taking the cup
the stain to His lips.
