so glad that Christ did not
listen
when they taunted, “Save
yourself!”
Staying where He was
upon the cross.
This was His mission
fulfilling His purpose.
This is why He descended
why He walked with us.
He could have come down
proving His power;
but He stayed on the cross
for those six long hours.
