Five
of ten maidens enter by the narrow gate
through
the gate of Jesus, the bridegroom, the Christ;
The
rest are caught asleep, unprepared
their
lamps empty, without any oil.
In
the dark, when He comes,
as
a thief in the night.
Eternal
vigilance, a price to pay
for
keys to the kingdom, the golden ticket;
Waiting
in faith for the call of the trumpet
our
wicks trimmed,
our
lamps full of oil.
The
Bridegroom coming in Glory
ready
for the happily ever after.
