offering water in the drought

We must be humble on the journey,
faithful in the desert times,
trusting in God, that He will provide,
offering water in the drought;
giving in to our struggles
offering to God, our lives,
all that we can offer
not just the excess;
it will be enough.

We must only give to Caesar
that which he claims,
treasure of this earth
and no more than that;
offering God the rest
offering water in the desert
faithful in the dust
our few coins offered to God;
it will be enough.
