Our long night over
of the contemplative season;
Going through Christ’s
passion
now, about to enter the
light.
Rolling away the stone
joy in this morning;
Christ is risen,
He is risen indeed!

Rolling Away the Stone
on seeing this poem title below,
as I posted it to FaithWriters this morning
----
Moving Stones
Healing lives, changing us
the stones rolled away, removed from the fields
Moving stones and changing lives
the power of the resurrection
the Easter star shining
Using metaphors of moving stones,
good Yankee stones,
and the stones by the road
on Palm Sunday morn’
ready to sing if the crowds had gone mute
The stone guarding the tomb
rolled away Easter morn’
to reveal his glory
Our these stones changed lives,
healing us, making fields to grow
hearts to be mended
and a harvest of souls
to be brought home to the Lord
