Myrrh for His Death – v2

At His birth, in His youth

the sum of His life

in the gifts they lay

at His feet, in homage;

Gifts for the King, for God,

for the Sacrifice,

for the Son, Jesus Christ.

Myrrh for His death

the fulfillment of God’s promise

hope for you and me

in the babe in the manger;

Growing to be the Man

hanging on the cross

that redeems us to life.
