No gun is put to our heads
love allows rejection;
God invites us
to accept His offer
Of salvation, redemption
through repentance, confession;
Dying to ourselves
humbly like the Christ
Redeemed by mercy
grace, the price;
Paid by the Messiah
going to the cross
Yet God allows us
loves us enough;
To give us free will
that we may choose
To accept or reject Him
His offer, His gift;
To enter the gates of heaven
or the fires of hell
The lesson hard
but so it must be;
God gave us the choice
the same for you and for me
