The
Book of Acts,
the
Acts of the Apostles revealing
valuable
lessons for this age,
these
uncertain, troubled times,
this time in our
lives
offering hope to
all of us
that
community may be able to rise again
out
of the ashes of our
disjointed,
unconnected lives.
All
together, one table, one meal
defining
the nature of community;
They
lived, worshipped, they ate together
a
single life the lives of the apostles.
Out
of their wealth they gave,
out
of their need they were given
early
believers on the way.
Sharing
all, around one table,
to
spread His message
to
bring God’s love out into the world;
Bringing
their lives together
one
community, one meal,
In
meals shared, in sacrament, in community;
We share in their
legacy
seeing
Christ in our neighbors;
We
share the table with them
all
of them, no charge.

changing the spelling from
“worshipped” to “worshiped”,
because Blogger and
Twitter said “worshipped” is a misspelling.
