I’m here – v2

Abraham’s response,

“Here I am.”, to the calling of God

reminding me of another

a beloved child of God

when I would greet her

at worship, on the street,

and ask her how she was

her response was always,

“I’m here.”

I would often joke,

“presence counts”;

but it really does.

God wants us to show up

to be present with Him

to respond in faith.

In her own way she said the same,

“Here I am; I’m here,

I am present, O Lord.”
