ready to obey – v2

The challenge of this passage

the calling to Abraham

when God said go

he said yes with his feet

ready to obey

to sacrifice his son,

Too often we say not yes, but,

the challenge of this passage

for each one of us;

what would we sacrifice

what would we give

if called on by God.

would we give freely

almost without thinking

not hesitating at the call of God;

would we trust and obey

would our yes be a yes

with no but attached.
