My humility is not enough
my pride is too great;
Only the living water
God’s gentle touch
the Potter lovingly
keeping my clay moist
Even when my heart is
hardened
coaxing, wooing me to Him
that I might have life;
Pulled ever nearer
from the darkness into the
light;
Drawing ever closer,
nearer yet,
to my Savior, my brother,
the cross.
