Frozen Fog – v5

Early Sunday morning
leaving the highway
Sparkles off the shoulder
drawing our gaze, turning,
to the marsh, the grasses,
the sparkling color
captured in frozen fog.

Light refracting and pulsing
new frost clinging to
shrub and nettle, to
goldenrod and milkweed
all blanketed, crystallized
ablaze, afire, in color,
captured in frozen fog.
