Frozen Fog – v2

Early Sunday morning
leaving the highway
Sparkles off the shoulder
draw our gaze
to the marsh, the grasses
the sparkling color
captured in frozen fog

Light refracting and pulsing
new frost clinging
shrub and nettle,
goldenrod and milkweed
blanketed, crystallized
ablaze, afire,
captured in frozen fog
