I have become frozen
I try to be faithful
to be fruitful in my writing;
but my baggage haunts me
it is so heavy, a weight on my heart
I try to follow the path
at least as I have discerned it
words come so fast
the only thing that does
like a flowing water spigot;
but I have so many debts
the IRS is writing from my past
the taxes aren’t done
and I have no revenue
I want to be faithful
to “just keep writing”
as you have told me in my prayers
in the dark, in the sanctuary;
but I am lost, frantic,
frozen in the state;
God I need you
to show me the way.
