real,
authentic
that’s
what God asks for
not
something rehearsed,
spoken
from memory, from rote,
not
some mindless pablum
without
any meaning
our
words to God
from
our heart
soulless
words won’t cut it
God
wants the unvarnished truth
speak
to God honesty
with
pain, with emotion
out
in the open
words
raw,
as
real as they get
come
to God angry, excited
share
with God
all
of your life.
