Hanging Ice – v2

Almost clear, translucent taffy

a confection of heaven, of water,

pulled, frozen in space,

hanging from the dam

between the dormers,

above the gutter’s edge

falling, stopped in stasis

water in suspended animation

hanging ice, poised,

waiting for the thaw
