death, burial and resurrection

death on the cross

wearing our stain

the mark of sin

burial, to the dead,

sealed in the cold tomb

resurrection, rising,

from the waters of chaos, sleep,

living ever, risen

all Jesus, mercy

nothing of us, our works,

our baptism, grace,

washed in the Spirit of love.
