Trying to describe
how I embrace the colors
the shades of gray
not in a continuum, a spectrum,
how I argued as an attorney
how I see the world
Not a monochrome
only in black and white
nothing so stark in dividing the light
there is a spectrum
a range of bright colors
but for me not blending, changing
Instead discrete lines,
ambiguity, argument
able to grasp ahold
to argue for a single line
as a bicycle wheel
in spokes of lines of color
Not fuzzy lines morphing
one to another
a method, a path
one or the other
able to argue, to advocate,
holding onto one shade of color
