the challenge of this
passage
the calling to Abraham
to sacrifice his son
ready to obey
to sacrifice his son
when God said go
he said yes with his feet
not yes, but
no farther than this
the challenge of this
passage
for each one of us
what would we sacrifice
what would we give
if called on by God
would we give freely
almost without thought
would we trust and obey
would our yes be a yes
with no but attached.
