The sense of Right and Wrong

questions, choices, shades of gray, of color
but at the end there is a sense
the sense of Right and Wrong
something deeply ingrained
like the fight or flight reflex
something ancient, primal
keeping us on the path
even when we don’t know God
when we have never met Jesus
knowing somehow instinctively
the correct choice to make
the sense of Right or Wrong
deeply ingrained within us
though we sometimes deny it
we know what we are doing.
