Christ is the answer – v2

Our prayers to heaven
the same as our parents
a river of blood
the sins of the ages
weighing on our hearts

Christ was the answer
to a people’s fervent prayer
a promise fulfilled
from scripture, from prophecy,
a people restored.

Christ is the answer
to the prayers of the people
the way to salvation
our hope in our Savior
God’s gift of love.

Christ will be the answer
forever, eternal
to all of our problems
to our strife, our trials
our hope for tomorrow,
to all of our prayers.
