My humility is not enough
my pride is too much
thinking I can do these things
hardening my heart
Only the living water
God’s gentle touch
the Potter lovingly
can keep my clay moist
Even when my heart is hardened
God is coaxing, wooing me back to Him,
that I might have life, again,
the Potter is touching, shaping my clay
Pulled ever nearer, closer,
from the darkness into the light
God draws me ever closer, nearer,
to my brother, my Savior, the cross
