Another driving image
as we went down the highway
a familiar bit of water
a space where a tributary
meets the stronger stream
A pair of mallards
two sisters
seen for a moment
from behind
moving gracefully
a small, slow wake
down the brook
around the end
the spit of land
out into the river
into the current
