A tent was pitched
a giant canopy
used to bluster and boldness
many parties, celebrations
still
sitting alone,
sad, lonely
in the yard
ready for the show, the action
but it was empty
hesitant
tense
waiting
expectant
for the people
the activity
reason for being
pitched
