The Beach Plum Jelly
The beach plum jelly
out on the deck
the thick sour dough toast
dripping with it
the bees coming closer
as I shoo them away,
wanting a nibble
of my breakfast that day
The cup of coffee
right beside me
the thick aroma of chicory
wafting around me
summer vacation
bliss in this moment
letting the day slide later
nowhere special to be
